Society is guiding our children mindlessly towards technology at an alarming rate, without taking a step back to examine the potential impact this could have. For many, technology flooding starts very early in life, and is hard to escape as we become increasingly dependent on technology for even the simplest of tasks. Ben Halpert is Vice President, Risk and Corporate Security for Ionic Security and Founder and President of Savvy Cyber Kids, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization he founded in 2007 to provide innovative cyber ethics resources to assist parents and teachers as children grow up online. Ben is an award-winning author of several books for diverse audiences. He has written and continues to expand The Savvy Cyber Kids at Home series of books that include The Family Gets a Computer, The Defeat of the Cyber Bully, and Adventures Beyond the Screen. Ben has the most fun when he is invited to schools world-wide to educate students, teachers, and parents on how to be empowered with technology and to bring cyber ethics to all aspects of our digital lives. Heroin Addiction Treatment Website: http://truthofaddiction.com/special/ Maybe you're looking for these topics: Heroin addiction treatment, heroin addict, heroin addiction explained, heroin addiction recovery, heroin addiction withdrawal, heroin addiction intervention, heroin addiction story, heroin addict behavior 95 percent of treatment centers in the United states use methods that contradict evidence. People addicted to opiods or heroin, usually enter an expensive detox center that keeps them for a few days. After detox, part of the heroin addicts recovery usually includes a basic 12 step program. However, several studies reveal that 12 step programs have around a 3 to 15 % percent success rate, depending on which study you look at. Professionals know that addicts can be in and out of rehabs over 10 times. The research is clear. The acute treatment of addiction produces very low success rates. So what is the best heroin addiction treatment? The best thing to do is to use methods that are supported by science, evidence and research. Using elements of mindful meditation and certain behavioral and cognitive training techniques have been shown by studies to reduce the frequency and intensity of cravings, relapse and withdrawal symptoms. But these methods are rarely used and seldom talked about. You cant make money off of these methods anyone can have access to it and anyone can do it. Addiction, especially heroin addiction affects many areas of life. So using a multidimensional approach to treatment is most successful. Did you know that integrating certain nutrients into an addicts diet has shown a near 92 percent success rate? This is because addiction is a biochemical problem. Addiction depletes neurotransmitters (or natural chemicals) in the brain. It also throws off the homeostatic state of the brain. But neurotransmitters are synthesized by nutrients. Heroin is a class of drugs called opioids. This class of drugs also include morphine, codeine and methadone. The primary neurotransmitter affected are the endorphins which are the brains natural pain killing compounds. What heroin does is artificially stimulates the Endorphin receptors within the brain. This results in the brain sending a false signal that there are plenty of endorphins and that the brain's requirements for protein is satisfied. This is why many heroin addicts loose weight, they do not aware of when they need to eat. Research shows that they become nutritionally deficient because of this. Because heroin affects the production of the body's natural neurotransmitters that kill pain, this can lead to long-term pain because the brain reacts in a defensive way to the spike of neurotransmitters from the long-term use of heroin. But the brain is malleable. It can change and rewire. Certain cognitive techniques have shown to change the brain. Website: http://truthofaddiction.com/special/ YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/user/TruthOfAddiction1 Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/TheOfficialTruthOfAddiction Okay so next time your are having a craving. Instead of acting out on it. Observe the craving. Put the spot light on it. What does it feel like. Analyze it. You may start to notice once you consciously become aware of it and analyze it, it starts to fade. Realize that it is a false message sent from the brain. Then redirect your attention to something else. In the truth of addiction program, this methods is discussed in much more detail. But basically, learning how to change the relationship you have with your cravings, or urges or intrusive thoughts, the more your brain starts to rewire and the cravings dissipate. No matter how many cravings. You are in control. Heroin Addiction Treatment https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z1KXB-392QY
